Owners Brian and Mary Dodson moved to Austin, TX in 2002 (though Brian’s a native born Texan). In 2014, we began investigating the possibility of opening a gelato shop. After training at Gelato University in Bologna, Italy, we decided to take the plunge and open our own business.
Brian is the creator of the recipes and Mary is in charge of production and the day to day operations of the shop. Brian continues his work as a structural engineer, but can be found in the shop on the weekends either at the service counter or experimenting with new ideas back in the kitchen. Mary’s background in business and marketing make a lot of the behind the scenes tasks run much more smoothly.
